Tutorials
These tutorials walk through the main HV Explorer workflows from opening a datacube to calibration, annotation, spectral analysis, PCA, machine-learning previews, export, and live recording. Follow them in order for a complete first pass, or use the workflow diagrams below to jump to the part of the application you need.
Example data
Qtec provides example datacubes for following the HV Explorer tutorials. The datasets were captured using the Buteo Hyperspectral Imaging System.
The shared folder contains several datasets that can be used for exploration, classification, regression, and preprocessing examples:

Suggested workflow
A typical HV Explorer workflow follows these tutorials in order:
- Getting Started: learn the interface, open a datacube, configure the preview, and inspect metadata.
- Calibration and Setup: add wavelength information and convert raw measurements to reflectance.
- Annotations and Spectra: create ROIs, assign properties, and compare spectral signatures.
- PCA and ML: inspect grouping, train models, and preview or apply predictions.
- Advanced Processing and Export: add preprocessing or data reduction, generate PCA images, and export results.
- Recording: connect a camera, adjust exposure and focus, capture references, and record datacubes.
Workflow diagrams
