Installation

This SDK can be used in two ways:

  • Python package (recommended for most users)

  • C dynamic library (for C/C++ or any language with C FFI)

All packages are published in the Qtechnology GitLab package registry.

Python installation

Note

Python 3.10 or later is required.

pip install --index-url https://gitlab.com/qtec/public/packages/pypi/simple qtec-hv-sdk
uv add --index https://gitlab.com/qtec/public/packages/pypi/simple qtec-hv-sdk

Note

If your environment requires using a different or additional index, you can add --extra-index-url instead of replacing the index.

C dynamic library installation

Download prebuilt archives from the Generic package registry for qtec-hv-sdk:

Windows (x86_64)

  1. Download the 0.8.1 archive for Windows (x86_64): windows SDK (v0.8.1)

  2. Extract it to a folder of your choice, e.g. C:\\qtec-hv-sdk.

  3. Add the bin directory to your PATH so applications can locate the DLLs:

    • Start menu → “Edit the system environment variables” → Environment Variables

    • Under “User variables” (or “System variables”), edit Path and add C:\\qtec-hv-sdk\\bin

Linux (x86_64)

  1. Download the 0.8.1 archive for Linux (x86_64): linux SDK (v0.8.1)

  2. Extract the directory onto /usr.

  3. Use pkgconfig retrieve libs and flags.
